SeamlessBio Recombinant Human Transferrin (OsrhTF) is a high-purity, animal-free iron-binding glycoprotein produced in genetically modified rice endosperm cells (Oryza sativa). With ≥99% purity by RP-HPLC and an iron content of 102.4 mg/100 g, it provides reliable, defined iron delivery for serum-free and chemically defined cell culture media — replacing variable, plasma-derived transferrin from human or animal sources.
Transferrin is an essential component of ITS (Insulin-Transferrin-Selenium) supplements and serum-free basal media. Available as orange-red lyophilized powder from EU stock. Pricing on request.
