Normal Lamb Serum (NLS) is serum from sheep up to 12 months of age. For IHC and ELISA blocking it is functionally identical to adult sheep serum (NSS). It is specifically required for age-matched reference serum in ovine neonatal immunology, colostrum immunity studies, and vaccine efficacy trials in juvenile animals where age-specific antibody levels are critical for valid baselines. As native (non-HI) lot, NLS also provides active ovine complement for CFT. EU origin.

Lamb serum has lower IgG levels than adult NSS and may contain residual maternal antibodies (first 6–8 weeks post-birth). For standard IHC blocking, both are functionally equivalent. For age-dependent immunology studies, age-matched lamb serum is required.
